A person by the name of Jason sent this into me. It appears to be a letter advertising this blog. I did not commission this.

Lightning
Because of Mr. Laramie's blatant refusal to my request earler, I decided to undertake some research of my own. What I found seemed largely underwhelming.
Through word of mouth, rumour had proposed that in the 1970's and 80's there were experiments carried out in the fields outside of Brightmount. These were tests to conduct lightning for purposes of demonstrating the capabilities of different designs of lightning rods. One particular type, what they referred to as the dissapator, was meant to scatter lightning rather than absorb and ground it. The result was an event that caused the facility to burn to the ground. The people I spoke to seemed largely convinced that this happened, and even said that the records of the experiments can be found in the public access of the town archive in the library.
Initially, I was unsure as to what relation this had to the Seed Eater, until someone pointed out to me that, "the kids are taken after the lightning strikes. Always." This made me reconsider much of what I knew about the Seed Eater. I believe that we've finally detected a pattern. The lightning is a harbinger of sorts. It doesn't happen every thunderstorm, but when it does happen, it comes after the lightning.
Also, we must consider the "black cloud" described. It is my belief that it disguises itself in the storm - using it as a type of camouflage. The Seed Eater appears during or after a storm, maybe hoping that it goes unnoticed, and it quietly takes someone.
Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions...

MaxOckerman90
Someone has recently brought this website to my attention:
http://maxockerman90.tumblr.com
I did, in fact, attend school with Max Ockerman. I have sent him a message requesting the picture of me that he posted to be taken down, along with the link to my Facebook account.
Please disregard this website. This man does not know anything about me. I do not associate with him.

From Kristoffer
"I think I know about the being who you are talking about. In my town that I lived in as a child, we have a legend about a man named ‘den sydd mannen’. They say that a man living in the woods with a face that always falls apart. He must find the children to provide him with young flesh to remain alive.
I never saw the creature. I only heard of in legends. My father said he saw it many years ago, but I can not confirm that story because my father has died.
I do not know if this story is any help to you at all, Cliff Howry.
Sent by Kristoffer."

Returning to The Grove
I went back to The Grove today. Earlier, I spoke with the mother of the victim. She reported the following story:
The mother, a resident across the street from the park, was seated on a nearby bench, watching her son at the playground around 9:30 pm on the 31st of May. She returned to the house, mere metres away, for reasons she did not disclose. When she returned, her son was gone.
She recalled something she described as a "big black cloud" that swept away, unnaturally over top of the trees. "It kind of turned on itself and disappeared with a little flash of red light" she said, "there was a loud sound like thunder and then it was gone."
When I visited the park today, it was empty. Nobody has been in or out of the park in the past few days, except the maintenance worker, who has tried trimming the grass. But I hear no news about this occurrence. The mother is the only one who testifies about it, and she told me personally. I am unaware who else knows.
Unlike what one might expect for something typically considered a "crime-scene", there was no blood. There were no footsteps leading off into the trees, nor any markings or damage to the equipment.
There is a cluster of trees beyond the swingset. I assume this is where the cloud sighting occurred. I am, as of yet, unaware of any connections to this cloud that the mother is describing. Then again, this could be unrelated to the Seed Eater entirely. However, judging on the lack of investigation, the sudden silence on the matter, and the suspicious details of the disappearance, I think my assumption is a safe guess.
The Grove is near the edge of the town, bordering near the train tracks and the road out. The woodland area nearby goes on for quite a distance. The Seed Eater could be anywhere.
